August 9, 2016 First week in CANADA

Well, my p-days are on Tuesday's:)
Oh my goodness! Canada is BEAUTIFUL:)

This week has been a whirlwind of emotions, from leaving my MTC comp to getting my lovely new trainer.:)

On the very first day we got here, as in last Tuesday, we went street contacting within the first hour that we were in Canada. Whyte Ave .is a very down town kinda place. I was like oh I am in the heart of Ogden again, felt right at home.:) hah nope
We go street contacting with a sister who I do not even know, I am like, ummmmm I don't even know how to talk to people at all.
so there is this nice looking lady that I am about to talk to and I get really nervous and just say 'errmmm Hi."
First of, who says "ermm" me that is who.
then she turns around and says, "you two must be out of your minds if you are really that happy" a
I was like "Well-" basically about to tell her that she needs Jesus, and she looks at my name tag and says "Makes sense"
I just went pale in the face and then she starts saying how wrong I am about my beliefs and about the flight fight or freeze response and I am just thinking, "WHY ME. She is literally the first person in Canada that I have talked to and she is so mean."
I tried to say, "well we respect what you believe but, you also need to be nice" (or something like that)
and then this mean old lady just says "you need stop being so (explicit) confident in what you believe and start learning some (explicit) knowledge."
I wanted to say, "OKAY LADDDY. Who are you to tell me that I am wrong. because we are trying to just be nice and teach you about family history, but you are just the rudest."
Then the sister that I was with just took me away and said, "I am so so so so so sorry."
I was only a little upset.

It is okay though, because almost every single other Canadian is quite nice.
Okay this week has been crazy tho.
Okay, so Sister Andrus is the best ever. lol she says that I am very snarky. I am just thinking, lol yep that is me.

So we are serving in the Rainbow Valley YSA ward which is SO much fun!

The other day we were going to visit a less-active member in the ward, and she was not home and you hear from across the street "HEY ARE YOU THE MORMONS?!"

And me being a greenie and all say with a really excited voice. "UH YEAH WE ARE!!!"
I was so pumped because I am just thinking Heavenly Father's timing is awesome. like if we hadn't been there at the right place and time we would have not been able to see this lady yell for us.
So we go over there and she is like "I love Jesus Christ so much and he saved me."
Im like CHA CHING, but we had to pass her over to the other sisters.

BUT we have three really great progressing investigators right now who are on date to be baptized and it is so great.:)
BUT the best part of this week has been we are teaching this investigator named Brittney, and she told us that the only time she had ever really prayed was for her brother to get in contact with her mom. because they had not heard from him in a month or so... I just decided that she was going to be in my prayers for the next few days.
This was on Friday and we taught her again yesterday, and she told us that her brother got in contact with her mom.
I was like "Heavenly Father answers prayers and I know that because I was praying for you this entire weekend."

Well, I love all of you:)
The church is true.
God loves you.
