Hello Friends!
I love you all!
This week has been a pretty regular week in the life of Sister Lexie Rex Fisher.
We have some fun stories though!
Backstory: there is this group of 5 elders that all live together and
call themselves "The Park" they are also all involved in the choir in
someway shape or form. "The Park" consists of Elder Chadwick, Elder
Ustach, Elder Stevens, Elder Yu, and Elder Nethercott. They are also
some of my favourite people I have met on my mission.
So last week, we are coming home from the concert and we left at the
same time as "The Park" did. On the way home, we are driving next to
them basically the whole way back to our apartment. They were doing
all these stupid things when we would pull up next to them at
stoplights and it was hilarious.
Anyway, we get on Whitemud (the freeway that only goes 50 mph). And
they are doing all these dumb things that elders like to do, then they
get off the exit. We waved goodbye and kept on driving to get home.
THIS IS THE BEST PART.
so I'm talking to sister Waite saying, "Man. I just want to be friends
with them when I get ba- WHAT THE HECK?!?!!"
I looked over and Elder Stevens face is out the window right next to
our car!!!!
It was THE funniest thing that has ever happened to me. Turns out that
they took the wrong exit, and then caught up to us to say goodbye.
Lol. It was hilarious.
Also, now everytime the choir does anything, I go on splits with
Sister DeCoursey from Logan, Utah. Sister Decoursey and I have had
quite grand times together. We went tracting to the biggest houses in
Edmonton. (Literally, they are gigantic.) mostly everyone said no, but
then we heard fireworks! It was on Sunday, and it was so fun! So
Sister Decoursey and I got to watch a firework show while looking at
some of the most beautiful homes in Edmonton!
Not much else has happened this week, but my testimony of the Saviour
has been strengthened so much. I love him. Jesus Christ is our elder
brother. He loves us. He wants us to return to live with him again.
Just as the scriptures say, he descended below all, so that he could
lift us up. I know that Jesus Christ lives. He suffered in the Garden,
so we to shall live again. We can be made clean through his atonement.
Anyway, I love you all.

February 7, 2017 Fisher... Of Men????🎣🎣
Hello my beautiful friends,
I love you all!!
This week, the His Hands firesides have officially started!!!!
They are AWESOME!!!!
Last concert, we have 122 people show up!!!! Pretty exciting, eh?
I met an lady named, Jeebs, at this concert. I decided I want to be
like Jeebs when I grow old. She steps on my foot on accident and then
turns around and says, "OH MY DEAR, I AM SO SORRY." Then proceeds to
tell me how she is a professional clown, and starts juggling some
hacky sacks. Then looks at my name tag, and says, "SISTER FISHER. LIKE
FISHER.... OF MEN..." and gives me this cheeky eyebrow through her
Yellow-rimmed glasses.
Then she points out the letters in my name,
"Friend to everyone."
"Impossible."
"Someone you can trust."
"Hippie Hoppy".
"Excellent."
"Ready to Go."
I like Jeebs. She is pretty awesome.
The His Hands Firesides are so beautiful though. I am so happy that I
get to be apart of the club without actually being in the club. I am
so happy Sister Waite has a beautiful voice.
I was just sitting there listening to them sing, and the spirit hit me
just like a ton of bricks. The Savior loves me. The Saviour suffered
and died for each one of us, he loves us. He wants us to return live
with him and our Heavenly Father. Don't ever forget that okay?
We also met with my girl, Holly, this week. She is getting married 4
days before I get home. It's okay, I'm just a little bit sad about it.
FOUR DAYS. oh, I love that girl way too much for my heart to handle.
We got Tia (our investigator) on date! She is awesome! We just asked
her, "Tia, do you think becoming a member of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-Day Saints could benefit you?" And she said, "Yes, it
would." UNSAHHHH. (Only sis. Waite will get that joke)
Well, that's about it for this week!!!
I love you all!!!!

Hello,
It's been a regular week.
Nothing too exciting has happened this week, however, the musical
firesides DO start tonight. They were all practicing the songs
yesterday, and I just cried. The spirit was so strong, I wish you
could all be here to listen to them sing. They are so good.
I'm literally so excited to be somewhat apart of this.
We have a semi-new investigator named Kiera. She is so cute! We had a
super spiritual lesson with her on Friday night, holy it was awesome.
I realize that I begin my letters by saying that the week wasn't very
eventful, but then I remember that so much has happened!
We had mission tour this week, Elder & Sister Echohawk came to speak!
It was so powerful and awesome!
Also, as many of you know there were changes to the missionary
schedule, pretty cool, eh?
Anyway, I don't have a whole lot of time, but I just want to share
something that Sister Waite and I experienced this week, so we are
driving home on Sunday. You know, just turning right to head home and
a plastic bag rolls out into the street. Just at that exact moment, we
hit a bump and sister Waite screams "AHHHHH, WHY DID THAT BUNNY JUST
COMMIT SUICIDE?!!!" We literally were on the verge of wetting
ourselves.
The next day, we were driving to meet the Belmead sisters, and I see a
plastic bag hanging from a tree and say, "There is an epidemic of
bunny suicides in the city of Edmonton."
Then, we laughed. I love sister Waite so much.
Well, I love you all.

January 24, 2017 Sister Fish & Sister Wai Wai" -DJ BMURDA
Thanks for all the support that you all give me!
It's been a fun & crazy week in the life of sister Fish!
Actually, it's been pretty casual. Life is so weird as missionary.
Ha, there is really not a lot to talk about this week! We had
transfers last week, and I AM STILL IN THE VALLEY OF RAINBOWS!!!
I think I am going to have major separation issues when I leave
Rainbow. I have come to really love each and every person in our ward,
and all the people that I meet every single day.
I really don't have a lot to say this week, but we have been great!
The "His Hands" fireside starts next week, and we are pretty stoked
about it. I enjoy seeing the work that I do all over Edmonton (aka in
the church buildings).
I mean, the story of the title is from yesterday. We were in a supper
with one of my favourite households in the ward, and he says
"Sister.... Waite? Sister Wai Wai will you say the prayer." Hana, then
he sings the tune of the "watch me Whip, Whip" some and says "Sister
Fish & Sister Wai Wai"
Things got out of hand so quickly.
Well, that is about as exciting as it gets for this week!
Just kidding, something really exciting actually did happen this
week!!!!!!! We haven't been able to meet with our investigator, Tia,
in a very long while... THEN, on Saturday night... We get a text from
her that reads, "I am so sorry I forgot about the meeting last week,
but can I come to church this week?"
I felt like the Elders in the best two years when elder Calhoon says
in his prayer, "and please bless that man will call-" then the phone
rings, and he says, "it's him." Then it just starts playing,
"Hallelujah Chorus" from Handel.
Okay, but listen... She walks in to sacrament late, and the talks are
literally in the Word of Wisdom (she smokes a joint every time we have
met with her) and self-reliance. The whole time I was thinking, "oh my
goodness. What. Is. Happening."
THEN IN RELIEF SOCIÉTÉ, THEN STARTED TALKING ABOUT KOLOB. I WAS LIKE,
PLEASE STOP.
Despite my fears, she absolutely loved church. It was awesome.
I love you all and I love the opportunity that I have to bring people
closer to Christ.
Lots of love,
Sister Lex Rex Fisher

January 17,2017 "When did my mission get changed to Florida?" - Sister Waite
I love you all!
It's 5° & i am so happy about it, not even wearing my parka. 😎🤘
Sister Waite literally was like, "Why is so hot outside? When did my
mission get changed to Florida?"
Thank you for all the emails and letters! I really love and appreciate them!
This week has been good!
Not much has happened, however we have taught some powerful lessons!
Sister Waite is a fetching baller.
I have had so many fun and exciting experiences with her, that girl is awesome!!
Anyway, we taught our investigator, Josh, and we were originally going
into teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Then the spirit was like,
"okay, don't do that. Just ask him about his concerns." Then we did
that, and we just basically testified the entire time. Audrey Tetu
came with us, and she was a huge support system to josh.
He spirit was so strong! It so cool!
So Jordan Reid is like the coolest person on this planet. We were
talking about the Plan of Happiness with him and he was just telling
us about his mom WHO IS GOING TO COME TO CHURCH WITH HIM SOMETIME
SOON. Holy, I about died when he told me that.
His favourite movie is "The Sandlot" and I told him I know exactly
where it filmed and he just about died. He was like, "Well I am coming
to visit you so you can take me there." He is just so cool. I hope
that I am besties with them forever.
Oh for this traveling missionary choir, I made posters and pass along
cards. I just want to show you because I worked really hard on them!
I just want to tell you that I am so grateful for each one of you! I
love you all and hope you all have a wonderful week!

January 10,2017 "No you're not hardcore, unless you live hardcore."
Hello my beautiful people.
What a wonderful week up here in the great white north!
It's very cold! Like, -31° F cold.
It's okay though, I'm alive, even though my boogers are frozen.
I got really sick the last couple days, lost my voice, couldn't hear
anything, sounded like a boi. It's okay.
Life happens.
Life is so good.
Louis Liu was baptized on Saturday!
Elder Nethercott confirmed him on Sunday! Louis came into Gospel
Principles just beaming. He said, "Sisters, I felt the spirit so
strongly while Elder Nethercott was giving me that blessing!"
We were very excited for him!
He also tried to tell us yesterday how to do missionary work better,
he doesn't think our approach is convincing enough.
We are now slowly passing him over to the Mandarin Speaking Elders, so
that he can really better fully know & understand the Gospel. Louis is
still cool.
AHHH. I GOT TO HOLLY FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FOREVER.
I love her. It was really nice to talk to her, even for the short few
moments that I did get to talk to her.
She is awesome.
OH. Exciting news,
Sister Waite & I got transfer calls a little bit earlier than the rest
of the mission because President Pattison wants to make a traveling
missionary choir!!!
Thankfully, ever so thankfully, I do not have to sing! (Still kinda
sad about it because I love singing, but honestly I am also thankful
that I don't have to sing)
However, I do get to take videos of the, singing and basically make
music videos of them, so that's pretty rad. Basically, for the next
9ish weeks we will be traveling around Edmonton, Sister Waite and a
bunch of other missionaries will be singing. I will also be making
pass along cards & posters to put everywhere.
I basically feel like the little girl from School of Rock when people
ask me what I'm doing, I just say, "I'm their manager." I also get to
decide what outfits they wear. I'm so cool.
Nothing else really happened this week. It snowed. It's cold. We
tracted. People said no. We had district meeting. You know the usually
missionary things.
I really just want to let everyone that I love you all. I love this
Gospel & I love our Saviour Jesus Christ.
I know that Christ came and died for each of us!
Read your scriptures. Pray hard. Love your neighbour. Look to Christ
as a source of guidance and protection. I know he will help you with
anything that you need!

December 27, 2016 "I'm singing. I'm in a store, and I'm singing."
Merry (late) Christmas.
I love you all.
This week has been full of good food & the Christmas spirit. I love it.
On Christmas Eve, guess what we did?
We sang. Mary Did You Know. At West Edmonton Mall. Which happens to be
one of the largest malls in the world. Cool. We flash mobbed it. It
was pretty cool if I do say so myself. (Kinda felt like Buddy the Elf,
but that's alright. It was awesome)
It was wonderful to talk to my family. I love them a whole lot. They
are the best.
I really am so thankful for this Christmas season & that we are able
to feel the love that it brings.
This week was also were able to sing at the Spruce Grove Nativity. The
spirit was so strong, and I was just so happy to be there. We were
able to also sing "Silent Night" (Pentatonix Version, of course) to
get a little variety in there. The live Nativity was so much fun, we
were able to watch just a little snippet of it, but I loved it.
Oh, so our ward did the "12 days of Christmas" for a family uuin need.
Sister Waite & I signed up to go ding-dong ditch on Christmas Eve.
Sister Waite had my heels on (#blessed, we are the same size), so I
had her drive down the street while I ran up to the door. Literally,
she is the worst get-away driver ever, but that's okay. She forgot to
put the car in park when I dropped it off.
Here is how that went...
Sister Fisher rings the doorbell, and leaps off the porch in order
hide from the dad who is literally right in the window.
She sprints as fast as she possible can (which is a bit slower than
usual #HOLLAdayz), runs to the other side of the car.... and start
yanking on the door handle...
Sister Waite is sitting in the car like "oh yeah, right.. the door..
it's not opening."
Anyway, we got away as the guy is basically watching me get into the car.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.
I love you all.
I love our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
I'm so thankful for this Christmas season.
